The meeting this month was awesome.  Ely Lucas presented on jQuery and Graym from TEKsystems provided tasty pizza from Borriello Brothers.  I’d also like to thank USA Swimming for the unbelievable meeting space at the Olympic Training Center.  If you have not been to a meeting since we’ve used this space you should stop by.  It’s amazing.

Ely’s presentation was really well done.  jQuery is a very important topic for anyone doing development in the web space.  It is included and configured out of the box now when creating web forms or MVC projects with VS 2010.  Ely did a great job starting from the basics and then moving into some more advanced topics.  There was some thing for everyone.  Thanks to Ely for putting the talk together for us.  You can get his slides and demos from Ely’s blog using the link below.

I’d also like to mention the Visual Studio 2010 Launch event going on in Denver on Tuesday April 20th.  I’m sure this will be a great event.  For more information or to register click here.  Next month we are planning to do our own mini VS 2010 Launch Event.  I’m hoping to do a sort of open spaces event where we will have some canned content to show but also leave plenty of time to just take questions and topics from the group and go through them.  Should be fun.
