Steve Lange – Turn it On: A Walkthrough of Visual Studio LightSwitch
Visual Studio LightSwitch lets developers create visually modern and highly productive custom line-of-business applications without struggle and cost. These applications use Silverlight, .NET and SQL Server technologies. The solutions can start as blank canvases or with existing data and then scale to enterprise potential by leveraging the Visual Studio 2010 product line. We’ll explore this new addition to the Visual Studio family, as well as understand when to use it and how it applies to developers.
Steve Lange: Developer Technology Specialist for Microsoft based in Denver, CO and covers the “Desert Mountain” area of the United States (Montana, Wyoming, Utah, Colorado, New Mexico, Arizona, and Southern Nevada). As a Developer Technology Specialist, Steve serves as a field expert for Microsoft’s high-end development and application lifecycle management tools, specifically Visual Studio Team System and Team Foundation Server. His “normal” responsibilities include presenting a variety of technical topics (from version control, work item tracking, testing practices, requirement practices, and ALM solutions) for individual customers or at larger events, developing content for events, and helping customer understand the breadth and depth of Microsoft’s development technologies.
